My father purchased this 6' 9 grand piano new in the late 1970s or early 1980, so our family has been its only owner, and it moved once. Based on its model and serial number, my internet search indicates that it was manufactured 1977-1978, but I can't verify these were the years schlemiel producing pianos under Schafer Sons name; its possible smack already manufacturer at time. It still plays and sounds great to me far better than an upright but again, i'm not a pianist just former music major in college.

Regardless, my father maintained it lovingly while he was alive, so the finish remains in very good to excellent condition with no serious defects that I can see. There is some superficial scuffing on the music stand, and brass finish worn tip of 2/3 pedals.
